Description:The rear of the Park Place Works from what was Park Passage, but is now the car park for the Gladstone Museum and the Roslyn Works off Chadwick Street. The Park Place Works is adjacent to the Gladstone Works and the name changed to Roslyn Works in 1946. The open space in the foreground was originally part of the works, now demolished. Pottery has been produced on this site since the 1700s but the ovens and workshops in the photograph are late 19th Century rebuilds. The two kilns incorporated into the buildings on the right are more recent, dating from the 1940s. The other kilns are part of the contiguous Gladstone Works. All these grade II listed buildings are now part of the Gladstone Works Museum.
