Description:The camera is looking northwards along Gilman Street towards the access ramp to the roof top car park on the old Hanley Shopping Centre. This northern part of Gilman Street now lies beneath the Potteries Way, beyond is Gilman Place. The road running across the bottom of the photograph was Hordley Street. This too has been cut by the Potteries Way.
The houses in Gilman Street and Hordley Street were built between 1880 and 1900.
