Description:Havelock Works stood at the corner of Broad Street and Robson Street in Hanley. This photograph was taken from Broad Street. The company was part of Vickers Ltd and manufactured porcelain insulators for electrical connections, fires and radios at the Havelock Works.
Robson's Ropery was at the bottom of Robson Street where the company manufactured packaging materials, string and twines as well as rope.
Properties on Robson Street have been demolished and the land cleared. Havelock Works has been replaced by a decorating supplies warehouse. The Potteries Way runs just beyond the advertising hoardings.
