Date:August 1964

Description:Looking westwards along Riverside Road in Trent Vale. The photograph was taken from the close to the junction with Stone Road. The houses on both sides date from after 1945, the earliest on the right along with those with the bow fronts on the left. At the bottom is the course of the Lyme Brook. In the background, the houses on the ridge are in Northwood Lane. the road still retained its original street lamp posts. Off to the right is the parade of shops on Stone Road.
