Description:The camera is looking south along Hilton road from near to the corner of Ashlands Road. The houses going off to the right are at the top of Newcastle Lane. Modern street lights have replaced the 1950s style concrete posts. The open space to the right is now part of the Stoke University and Harplands Hospitals. Both sides of the road were open space before the houses on the left were built between 1951 and 1953.
