Description:This photograph shows the view northwards from the top of Hartshill Bank at the top of Vicarage Road on a cloudy day in November. On the right are the twin winding towers of Wolstanton Colliery and to their left the spire of St Margaret's Church in Wolstanton. In the foreground are the ovens and chimneys of Hartshill Brick & Tile Works making use of the red clay (Etruria Marl) which outcrops along the Hartshill Bank. To the right is Shelton New Road.
