Description:Looking north along St Mark's Street in Shelton with Hanley Greyhound and Speedway Stadium (Sun Street Stadium) at the bottom. Sun Street is the road at the bottom. The houses in this part of the street date from the middle of the 19th century and have all been cleared. They have been replaced with housing in St Mark's Close and Margill Close. On the right, the Wellington Company were wholesale grocers. The waste tips of Shelton collieries and steel works or on the hazy skyline.
