Description:Looking north along Raymond Street in Shelton, with the old Albert Pottery on the left hand side. The houses on the extreme left are on Shirley Road (now demolished) which also goes off to the right. The pottery was operated by Isaac Smith in the 1900s, making Jet, Samian and Rockingham ware. Later it became a teapot manufactory.
At the time of the photograph, the factory was abandoned and boarded up. The large building at the end of the street is the processing laboratory of Bradbury's, the photographers. All the original buildings have been demolished and a modern engineering works occupies the site.
