Date:May 1964

Description:The view south east from the Dryden Road and Barrett Drive area of Cobridge towards Shelton and Hanley. The church tower in the centre belongs to St Mark's, Shelton. The large and small mounds arte slag heaps from the steel works which is off to the right and behind the largest heap. Much of this site was reclaimed for the 1986 Garden Festival. The photograph was taken from land once part of Grange Colliery, which supplied the steel works. This is now part of Grange Park.
