Description:Yew Tree farmhouse was on Church Lane (now Elgood Lane) behind St John's Church graveyard. Yew Tree Farm has a long history and was the home of the Bourne family in the 16th century. The house and part of the farm was incorporated into St John's graveyard in the 1930s and the rest of the land develop for housing. The house in the photograph is a 19th century building, no longer standing but was close to the end of Wilson Way.

The area around the farmhouse was used as a scrapyard in the 1960s, with access from the High Street along Elgood Lane.
