Description:An Inde Coope public house, the Wheatsheaf Inn was flanked on this side by Poole's hardware store selling everything for the house and DIY. On the other side is a mixture of grocers, sweet shop and tobacconist and the Burslem Co-operative society. Beyond the Co-op New Stret (now Anne Street). This row was earmarked for redevelopment in the late 1960s and is now sheltered housing.
