Description:Ridgways was one of the largest combines, formed in 1955, with eight factories in North Staffordshire. The Ridgway's pottery on High Street in Tunstall was previously Booth's Church Bank Pottery, built in 1842 and becoming part of Thomas Booth & Co in the 1870s, producing high quality earthenware. Booths produced "Royal Semi-Porcelain" and "Silicon China" and, later, earthenware copies of Royal Worcester porcelain.

Church Bank Pottery works was between Bank Street and Madison street (previously King Street), opposite Christ Church on High Street, Tunstall. This area has been cleared and redeveloped for housing.
