Description:The photograph shows the alley that runs between the terraced houses on Heath Street (to the left) and Brakespeare Street (right) in Goldenhill. The photograph was taken from Garbett Street looking north west. Originally Brakespeare Street was called John Street until renaming in the 1950s. The houses on both streets and the back alleyway are typical of housing built in the middle of the 19th century.
