Description:Fir Tree farmhouse is just south of Whitfield Road in Ball Green. The farmhouse and it adjoining cottage date from the early 17th century and are grade II listed buildings. A farm has probably been on the site for 700 years.
Made from coarse and squared rubble with a tiled roof, the building shows signs of subsidence caused by the local collieries.
