Description:A view south along Leek Road from the corner with Birches Head Road. To the left are the buildings of the now demolished Carmountside Junior High School. This was also the site of the Cistercian Abbey founded in 1223. The remains of the Abbey walls have been excavated in the school grounds.
The houses on the right of Leek Road date from the 1920s and 30s.
