Description:Hamilton Infants School, founded in 1913, is on Barthomley Road (formerly Hamilton Road) in Birches Head. The buildings in the foreground have been demolished and a new school built. In the background is one of the spoil tips of Hanley Deep Pit coal mine which have been landscaped and form part of Hanley Central Forest Park. This is a view north west from the Coomwell Street/Burnley Street area.
