Description:Looking west along Selwyn Street from the Corner of Maclagen Street in Stoke with the heights of Penkhull in the distance. The building at the end of Selwyn Street is on Lonsdale Street and was originally John Clement, saddler and harness maker. The road crossing in the middle of the photograph is Butler Street. A turn to the left would bring you to Stoke City FC's Victoria Ground. The rows of terraced housing in Selwyn Street and adjoining streets were built between 1890 and 1900.
