Description:Harpfields County Junior School opened in 1872 in corrugated iron buildings. It was originally Kingscroft Board School and the buildings in the photograph opened in 1875. Sited on the corner of Palmers Green and Hartshill Road, the buildings have been demolished and the site is now part of Harpfields Primary School.

The Tablet has the "Seal of the School Board of Stoke on Trent" and dates from the school's opening in May 1875. The tablet is in Minton tiles.
