Description:These terraced houses in Hobson Street, Burslem have been boarded up and are and awaiting demolition. Hobson Street was originally named Albert Street but was changed in the 1950s. It was renamed after George Hobson who was an earthenware manufacturer and owned the Albert Street Pottery at the east end of the street. Also in Hobson Street was another earthenware manufactory, The Albert Street Works owned by William Wood.
