Description:This is a view along Janson Street, formerly New Street, Hanford. The photograph looks north from close to the junction with Wilson Road. The houses have been demolished and the street realigned to accommodate a new housing development. The street still had its old lamp standards. The corner shop selling a wide range of goods from hardware to groceries has a chewing gum vending machine on the wall by the door.
