Description:In the centre of the photograph is Grimwade's Stoke Pottery with its chimneys and kilns. The white, two storey building to the right of the pottery is on the bank of the Trent & Mersey Canal at Shelton Bridge. To the extreme left is the corner of the Bridge Inn, which was on Liverpool Road near the junction with Shelton Old Road.
