Description:Photograph taken from 181 Meir Road. Construction on Christ Church has just commenced - note the scaffolding poles. The occasion is possibily the laying of the foundation stone. the banner across the road reads 'Welcome to the Mayor and Mayoress'. The United Methodist Church, also known as Christ Church, stood in Meir Road, was built in 1910 and was demolished in 2005.
