Description:The photograph was taken from the corner of Chelson St, looking south east along Uttoxeter Rd toward Normacot. The sign for the Royal Oak can be seen and the shop next door to that is on the corner of Barker Street. Both these buildings still stand, although the Royal Oak is no longer open for business. The building that housed North Staffs Electric Co has disappeared but the shoe shop and next door are still there and trading as Abigails and Plasterworld in 2018.
