Description:Pearlware dark blue printed plates. Diameter of largest plate 265mm The source for the English Cities series was the book 'Picturesque Views of English Cities', published in January 1828, with engravings after drawings by George Fennel Robson. Made by Enoch Wood & Sons, Burslem. The two larger plates, 'Lincoln' and 'Worcester', were excavated at St. Paul's Church, Burslem in 1974. The small 'Lichfield' saucer was excavated at Burslem Market Place in 1998.
