Description:Earthenware printed plates and cup. Height of cup 65mm . Pottery made specifically for children became increasingly popular from the early 19th century. The two plates have inscriptions, 'A reward for diligence' and 'A present for a good girl'. 'A trifle for Benjamin' is printed on the cup. The plates and cup were excavated at St. Paul's Church, Burslem in 1974.
