Description:Lichfield Street in 1974. This entire row of houses has long since been demolished, together with the Bridge Inn pub.

Just behind the photographer is a bridge over the Caldon Canal. To the right once stood two large potbanks. Notice the large building in the background. This is Blackburn House being built.
