Description:Hand-made fettling tool made from a thin strip of iron.

Used to scrape clay seams or rough edges to create a smoother surface prior to firing.

Roughly 18cm in length.

Taken from the Gladstone Pottery Museum Tools Collection.

This object is now part of the collections at Stoke-on-Trent Museums.
