Description:Fettler's lollipop made of foam with a wooden handle.

A fettling/sponging tool used to rub clay seams or rough edges to create a smoother surface before firing.

The tool is roughly 17cm in length.

Taken from the Gladstone Pottery Museum Tools Collection.

This object is now part of the collections at Stoke-on-Trent Museums.
