Description:Modelling tool made from box wood.

It is a pottery-making tool used for modelling soft clay. Roughly 30cm in length.

This example has two ends, one smooth and one patterned. The tool's handle is in the middle.

The tool has the name W H MALKIN inscribed on it.

Taken from the Gladstone Pottery Museum Tools Collection.

This object is now part of the collections at Stoke-on-Trent Museums.
