Description:Steam omnibuses operated between railway stations and villages, towns, etc.

They were slow by todays standards, having a top speed of around 20-25mph.

An omnibus like this one operated between leek and the somewhat remote village of Waterhouses on the A52.

This particular one is in the vicinity of Alton.
