Date:June 1964

Description:Rudyard railway station, pictured in June 1964. Compare this photo with the previous one taken in 1957. Already the rot has set in, just prior to the Beeching axe!

A narrow guage railway operates from here and takes in a large section of the lakeside. It is an ideal way of viewing the stunning scenery. A footpath runs alongside the narrow guage.
