Description:Pottery factory interior depicting a man bedding plates using a setter prior to placing in a saggar and firing.

The setter was a piece of kiln furniture that provided more support than bedding the ware in powder. It prevented the ware from warping.

Taken at Shelley's, Stoke-on-Trent.
