Description:Bright pink and crimson taffeta evening dress, straight style, worn with a crimson satin cummerbund. The material was purchased from Jacqmar. Lady Bagot recalls that it was one of the many occasions when she was tempted to buy a length of attractive material without any particular garment in mind. The fabric was first of all made up into an evening dress and altered into a skirt at a later date. Shown here with a blue cotton bodice.

From the collection of clothing donated by Nancy, Lady Bagot to the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery. Photographed in 1983.
