Description:New Year's greeting card with photographs by William Blake and Verse/Poetry by Wm. Morris the ninteenth century designer, poet and socialist.

Along with other images in the collection, the use of this verse for the card gives us an idea that Blake held strong socialist beliefs.

Blake produced many greetings cards, which were sold in his shop at Stafford Street, Longton. The street was renamed The Strand in the early 1950s.
